We had the chance to see a lot this summer. It was so great, we flew out to Toronto and rented a van, drove down through Niagara Falls to upper state New York, then up to Ottawa and finally to Montreal. I had never been to Toronto, Niagara Falls or to Upper State NY before. I fell in love with upper state NY. It is so pretty there! The my children hadn't been out east before, so it was an adventure! The weather was pretty much perfect and it will be a trip to always remember!

Just one more for today, I had to post another baby I did recently. Summer has been so crazy, even though I have wanted to get some posts done, it hasn't been a high priority. Sad, but true. Anyway, another precious little girl! Actually, saw her yesterday at the store, wow had she grown, they don't stay small for very long. That is why it is important to capture those first few days (day 3-4 is best) so you can always remember how small they were.

OK, start doing some actual picture posts :) I have had the privilege of photographing a few newborns this past bit. I know I have said it before, but I love newborns. Their squishiness, their little body parts, they always amaze me, even with their little personalities that start to show even from day one. Just love everything about them!

Look at this sweet little one. Just makes your heart melt! She was such a little cutie and she cracked me up! Loved, loved her facial expressions! I must say that this is by far the most I have ignored my poor blog! I often think that I need to get on here and post some pictures and to say a few things about what has been happening in my life. So finally here I am. I will start to catch up on all of the adventures of the past year, wow has it really been that long! Anyway, school is back in session! Kids have all gone off, leaving me with my youngest home together. She is having a bit of an adjustment. I really need to get her into a program or two to keep her happy and busy. She is growing up very fast and hard to believe that next year she will be old enough to be in kindergarten!

We had a great summer with lots of adventures! We took the family to Toronto, Ottawa, Upper State New York and Montreal. Along with a trip to Utah and camping. Seems like we were hardly home this year. I will post some pictures and stories from these adventures.

I must say that I am looking forward to this fall and the school year. I have a lot going on over the next few months but it great to be busy. I am also looking forward to the fall portrait session, think it is my favorite time to take pictures. If you are wanting a session, be sure to contact me soon as the fall session books up early.

But I have to say that my youngest is now 3! Happy Birthday. We went out for a quick little sessio0n a couple days after her birthday. Sadly it was pouring on her actual birthday, I didn't want to go slip in the mud, so we waited. Can't believe she is getting so grown up!

I have been a bit MIA. This summer has been so crazy busy and with kids home from school, vacations and work, it seems like it has just flown by. I keep saying this, and soon I think I should stop, but for now, I really do hope that life calms down a bit so that I can catch up!

Anyway, I just have to say the earlier this summer I had a chance to meet this sweet little babies! It really just is amazing to think of all of these little ones coming at one time to one family! Well, once again I am avoiding posting on my blog, I have been so bad. But I thought I would spend a few minutes tonight and get things a bit caught up. This was a breezy morning but it wasn't raining and it was getting hot by the time we finished. So it was a good day! Although the wind was causing a bit of havoc. But we still managed to have fun and the kids, well not all of them. Decided to roll down a hill. Ever notice that rolling down a hill isn't as "straight" forward as one might thing? LOL But they had a great time doing it!

I am really excited that I will have a gallery up in a local dental office. The Dentist is Derek MacDonald DDS and he is opening up his office on June 17. OK, I have to admit that the DARK, LONG winters here have finally made me cave and I bought myself some studio lights. This was just a quick test the day that I set it up to see if I would be able to figure them out. For some reason I have been scared to death of lights, turns out I can do them. Although I must say that this picture isn't the best, my dirty face girl was very curious when she was watching me flash her poor little "baby" aka, her doll. She actually looked at the camera for one shot, which is more than she is willing to do most of the time. So I got one shot with her looking before she had enough and ran away. That is the life for a child of a photographer, they get bored of my little tricks very quickly. *sigh* Anyway, this isn't a perfect shot, but concidering I had the lights up for only a few flashes, think it passes. I have some of her little doll that are perfect, but I am sure that really isn't the look that most people come to see.

Year In Review.... about time!

I have been meaning to post this, so I finally got around to doing it. If I have missed your session, I apologize as I have removed several from the computer already, I tried to get as many as I could. I didn't include any of the school pictures, just sessions. It was a great year with some really great people!

I must say I have been taking a bit of a break from updating the blog. As anyone can easily see from my posts, I really am a person of few words. I keep things to the point and let the pictures do the talking. Well, seeing as I have no pictures in this post, I guess I will actually have to say something.

SO.... as January rolls around, I find myself reflecting on the previous year and think about the new year and what I want to change and focus on, new directions, new things to try. So even though I am still working on this and what specials I will hold during the upcoming year, I do have some fun and interesting things I want to try. So as I work out the details I will post them and let you know. Believe it or not, I have even thought about trying my hand a weddings. So if you know anyone that maybe looking for a photographer, let me know. I was thinking of adding a few mini session dates as well, maybe with some themes, like Mother's day.

I will keep you updated as needed. Thanks to all the awesome people I have gotten to know because of my job. I do love it!

Santa came early and I must say he is looking better than ever! Such a sweet little guy and he actually slept for me. He was only 5 days old and I think if he had of been older he wouldn't have slept for me. Five days is the perfect time for newborns! I love newborns, have I said that before? OK, I have been meaning to put this up for awhile, it has been a crazy busy fall and this Christmas season hasn't lightened up. Partly because we are putting on a play. With the holidays and all the busyness I haven't updated the blog lately. I just wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and the best in the new year. Oh this one is a mover! But oh so cute! She will no doubt keep mom and dad running at all times. She was a pleasure to photograph, full of life and spunk. Such gorgeous eyes!

She laughed, she cried, but mostly she ran around, keeping busy every second.

I am still technically not been working, although I have done a few things over the past few months, I realize how much I miss doing it. I have been horrible at using this blog I started so long ago, but as I get busier I will keep it updated so that you can get some previews of recent work.
