I am home and had a great time. I have some sessions to edit and post, I will try to get to them shortly. Just have to say that it was perfection and had a great time.

Also, I am having issues with my blog and the photos, so I have some things to post, just not happy with how they are working. Studio | Sherwood Park Photographer

OK, I have to admit that the DARK, LONG winters here have finally made me cave and I bought myself some studio lights. This was just a quick test the day that I set it up to see if I would be able to figure them out. For some reason I have been scared to death of lights, turns out I can do them. Although I must say that this picture isn't the best, my dirty face girl was very curious when she was watching me flash her poor little "baby" aka, her doll. She actually looked at the camera for one shot, which is more than she is willing to do most of the time. So I got one shot with her looking before she had enough and ran away. That is the life for a child of a photographer, they get bored of my little tricks very quickly. *sigh* Anyway, this isn't a perfect shot, but concidering I had the lights up for only a few flashes, think it passes. I have some of her little doll that are perfect, but I am sure that really isn't the look that most people come to see.

Year In Review.... about time!

I have been meaning to post this, so I finally got around to doing it. If I have missed your session, I apologize as I have removed several from the computer already, I tried to get as many as I could. I didn't include any of the school pictures, just sessions. It was a great year with some really great people!

Just a note, this is my first attempt at doing a video on here, bit blurry, but you still get the idea.

I must say I have been taking a bit of a break from updating the blog. As anyone can easily see from my posts, I really am a person of few words. I keep things to the point and let the pictures do the talking. Well, seeing as I have no pictures in this post, I guess I will actually have to say something.

SO.... as January rolls around, I find myself reflecting on the previous year and think about the new year and what I want to change and focus on, new directions, new things to try. So even though I am still working on this and what specials I will hold during the upcoming year, I do have some fun and interesting things I want to try. So as I work out the details I will post them and let you know. Believe it or not, I have even thought about trying my hand a weddings. So if you know anyone that maybe looking for a photographer, let me know. I was thinking of adding a few mini session dates as well, maybe with some themes, like Mother's day.

I will keep you updated as needed. Thanks to all the awesome people I have gotten to know because of my job. I do love it!

Newborn | Sherwood Park Photographer

Santa came early and I must say he is looking better than ever! Such a sweet little guy and he actually slept for me. He was only 5 days old and I think if he had of been older he wouldn't have slept for me. Five days is the perfect time for newborns! I love newborns, have I said that before? Anyway, just sharing one for now, I may add more later when I have more time to proof them.
